When I was about to leave school I knew I wanted to do something that allowed me to help people. I decided to do the sports physiotherapy course in DCU as it was new and through playing sports, physiotherapists had helped me over the years with different injuries. It was only after I graduated that I felt I wanted to do something that really made a difference. I had a keen interest in health and fitness so I went to the National Training Centre and qualified as an instructor and trainer. I then went on to further my knowledge in strength and conditioning.

Martin's story

Martin graduated from Dublin City University with an honours degree in Athletic Therapy and Training. During that time he also worked abroad in the United States on the medical staff for a college American football team. After completing his studies in DCU, Martin then went on to qualify as a personal trainer in the National Training Centre and also added the national certificate in strength and conditioning (NCSC) through KG Elite Performance. As an athlete himself, Martin has been involved in a wide variety of sports, ranging from athletics to gaelic games to competing internationally in Taekwon Do winning a gold and two bronze European medals along the way. Martin lives in Dublin, Ireland.
